Robert Wilson has asked Tom Waits to help in his production of Georg Brüchner's drama 'Woyzeck'.
This drama is a nightmarish fable, originating in a true story about the soldier who kills his girlfriend
in Leipzig in 1821. The play will premier November 14, 2000 at the Betty Nansen Theater in Denmark as part
of Culture Bridge 2000 Celebration (this is a bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden). This same drama has also
been used in a serialist opera 'Wozzeck' by Alban Berg.

In the Thalia production of "Alice" in Hamburg, some other funky instru-
ments were used and are featured in the program along with the Theremin:
the Stro-Violin, which looks like a violin without a body but with a horn
attached to it; waterphones, which have many little metal poles protruding
from a cylinder with a handle; and the "bug", which appears to be a diamond-
shaped piece of wood with strings and also the protruding poles, two of
which look like antennae.
ALSO: The Brooklyn Academy of Music(BAM) in NYC mounted a production of 'Alice'
