it is such a great , encyclopedic website... everything you might ever need to know about tom waits (and other subjects) you can find it in the library.

BIG thanks for the hard work Pieter!!

What if Tom releases 6 more great albums ...
Very sad.

Hope at least the site stays up.
But it will never be the same anymore without updates.
:(

In theory, a person could download the entire site for a backup in case it were to come down... Just saying

made me smile, somewhat ... "as a farmer with toothache" as the dutch saying goes

Posted in the DutchDog group, maybe more info from them ...

I sure hope it can be preserved at the least. It seems far to important a dedicated resource to just disappear. Thanks Pieter for all the time & work you've put into the Library.

Such sad news indeed, this has been one of my greatest resources for all things TW for many, many years. I'd love to know if there's anything I can do to help keep this going, perhaps a wikipedia style format? something, anything....

I downloaded some of the content to:
http://windyjonas.tilaa.nl/tomwaitslibrary
There are still stuff missing there, but I'll get to it.

At least we will have a backup.

You know a TW wiki would be an excellent idea, a great way to get contributions from the large number of TW fans as long as it was kept factually accurate.
