I'll be seeing The Lips, Sonic Youth and Ween (great great band if you've never listened) next weekend--not to mention I'll have backstage passes courtesy of my friend Steven Drozd (couldn't help name dropping). Should be a hell of a good time.

First thing I'm gonna be seeing is a lot of marimba-players, and hopefully some unfortunate latin guitar-players. Still I'm better of than all of you together.

I was just listening to the Flaming Lips! I'd love to see them live - they're completely nuts.

Hope to hear a report DC!

This is a marimba:

The woman behind it is from Guatemala, that's where I'm going. Meet me in Antigua on 10-09 (9-10 to you Americans). An out of Belgium month, that 'll cure me.

Thats a similar lineup to what I saw at the second day of Lolapolooza this year. Flaming lips were a lot fun, though they did basically a greatest hits set. I love sonic Youth but they were not really very good at filling that much space and I was dissapointed. Instead of Magic numbers (?), we had Kanye, Thievery, Manu Chao, Blackaclicious, def made me want to see flaming lips again though.

The Yout' rocked hard and the Lips took us on a magical mystery tour...

I have pics to post. Keep an eye peeled to the 'Pics of You' thread. i'm to lazy to size them right now.

slackingly,

Going to see The Mountain Goats next Tuesday!! It's gonna be so good. I'm also debating seeing Bad Religion with the Dropkick Murpheys next friday as It's my birthday. However tickets are $50 and I'm not sure it's worth that plus the $60 it would cost me to get down there.

Yea, I'm mostly going for Bad Religion. I'm planing on being really drunk if I do go, becuase I'm sure dropkick would be at least fun if I was completely smashed.
