One of the running questions during the weekend: "Where the fuck are the Belgians??"
Special thanks to Rune, who picked people up from Amsterdam airport, drove em to our place, drove to the venue
(close to the German border). Drove friends to and from hotels, drove me back home and drove to Amsterdam again!!

Organizing pics (link soon) ... this is the last one ... miss you all!

Sofia, Roy, Clair & Rune.

Sorry for being late with my Oscar acceptance speech. I finally got access to a computer with a keyboard that types properly.
I thank you all amazing people for this great weekend! It’s been a large injection of fun, good music, beauty of all kinds and goodness. I loved the rides in Rune’s car through the dutch countryside, with some tunes playing and even the weather on our side, I loved the beautiful venue in what seemed to me the middle of nowhere, the awesome people who performed really from the heart and the awesome people who took the floor dancing, the beautiful soothing music providers the morning after and of course the generous hospitality of Gerda and Marco, the larger than life ears and personality of Rosie, seeing all those beautiful faces around Marco’s table again and spending Saturday morning watching television with Sam.
I’m very thankful also for Stephen’s comprehension of the dutch language that got us out of all kinds of unspeakable trouble, for Roy’s company while exploring the dutch mountains, dykes, dams, history and art (in the magnificent gem called Rijksmuseum) and while I got my identity cross-checked at Schiphol airport (and for the Smiths albums of course), for Claartje’s instructions in Amsterdam, for the designated drivers Rune and Pascal, for driving us safely in uncharted territory, for the Uncut magazine provided by Gordon and for everyone of you for being there and being such a great company (because I won’t stop writing, otherwise ;) ).
Finally, I’ve noticed this the last time and I’ve come to the same conclusion once more, that probably because we make such an amazing bunch, even when something is wrong (and you probably know what that was) it is amazingly wrong and this is a thing to respect and cherish.
I realize I must have spent 3 straight days of smiling, because of the facial aching I experienced on Monday morning ;). Just kidding of course. It’s been a real pleasure seeing you all again after all this time and meeting some more amazing people for the first time. I can promise you and myself too that I will do my best to attend these things and similar things more frequently. I love you all, individually and as a group! You made a girl really happy!
(And last but not least, since this is an Oscar acceptance speech with no time limit, I’d like to thank the wonderful people of Belgrade where I spent half a day between flights. It was really amazing how several of them kept reaching out to help me for no reason at all and probably just because I had a map in my pocket. And on a completely different note, I got to see by pure chance some of the bombed buildings from the NATO bombings in 1999 on my way back to the airport… it was really terrifying and emotional, those days came back to me very vividly)

Excellent! Love the one of Dennis! Snap!

And dear Sofia, I am so happy you could come over this time. Never really met you before.
You've got the most wonderful smile. A little hurt afterwards is worth it!
So happy I could be your chauffeur for a weekend.
Just holler, and I'll wipe my agenda clean, cancel all appointments, and fill the tank.

(Goes for all of you, really!)

Suffering from post-meet depression, here.

Surf, looking at your photos is almost as good as actually being there. :)
