How about a Metamora Indiana meetup? Its very rural with lots of outdoors type stuff to do, plus the town is has quite a cool history, there are some very neat landmarks and some great rustic scenery. Like I posted in the other thread, I believe I could rent us out full bed and breakfast at a very reasonable rate, place is a bit counry but nice :) Melisma suggested spring, what dates would anyone else have open if interested?

I'm thinking Mar. 22 - 24th would be a decent date, just at the turn of spring.

I'll keep it in mind and let you know as the time draws closer.
Let's hope the weather cooperates-- we can get some nasty snowstorms around here at that time of year.

I hear ya on that! Just wanted to jot a date down to brainstorm some ideas. That's during my spring break.

Yep Surf, really a very nice looking area. We have the sole surviving wood aqueduct in America, that's kind of neat too. There are some other cool attractions as well. Here's our local blog http://metamoraindiana.blogspot.com/ Also they have a tiki bar down the road that's pretty nice lol. Like I said, its very rural, but imo you throw Tom fans into any setting and you're sure to have a good time

Sole surviving wood aqueduct in the US?-- I'm just geeky enough to want to see something like that! :D I love road trips, small towns, and offbeat attractions.

Trust me, if you're into geeky we can do it here lol! After the aqueduct can go see the cabin Tom Cruise & Dustin Hoffman stayed in while filming a scene in the Rainman :D Also we've got a beautiful catholic shrine/Castle built on top of a hill... The hill was made by Native Americans, and... Umm... The owner believes it is where jesus is returning for the second coming lol! Here's a picture, Paul will let us in:

Really geeky but really fun :D

We can stand on the hill and sing "Jesus Gonna Be Here Soon." :P

Just thought I'd say too, people can of course stay here at my home for free as an alternative, just not much in the way of sleeping arrangements. We could sleep... hmm... 5 visitors comfortably, after that it gets a bit ridiculous :D

Sorry to flipflop on you, Mike, but it looks like I'm spending that weekend in Boston with Sarah --- and Nick Cave.
