Has anyone heard of him before? Well, he's the guy that wrote 'Take Me to Church'. I bought his album and basically I fell in love. He reminds me of Tom Waits, lyrically. Well, to my surprise, he said that his biggest influence was Tom Waits... so.

I really liked his album, managed to see him in concert in town not to long ago and really enjoyed it!
Its amazing how starved popular music is for good lyricists these days. Hopefully that has a turnaround.

Aw, you're really lucky!
And yes, that is true. Never liked pop music myself. I don't think Hozier makes pop...

It's strange but I never liked his song take me to church but I listened to it again today and gave his album a chance and thought it was actually pretty good.
