The last 5 times or so they were playing in Belgium I couldn't go for different reasons. I thought they were doomed.
But now I've got a ticket for their March show in Antwerp :D

I'll cross my fingers that nothing crops up between now and then to prevent you from going! :D Great live band...

The way things are going, maybe they will all be in prison and have to cancel their tour. :-|

Two days to go :)

And Lucinda Williams is coming to Belgium, Augst 31st. Together with John Moreland and Shovels & Rope. That's a nice line-up :)

An out of the blue invite from Stefan to go see Rhianon Giddens next Sunday in AB in Brussels...

Checked some of het stuff on youtube, I'm very eager to see her perform.

Sounds wonderful. I'm very intrigued by what I've heard of her.

Me too...

The live fragments I've seen have such powerful and positive vibes...
She's a trained opera singer who found the need to explore roots music, blues, soul, jazz...
She reminds me of the charachter Annie (played by Lucia Micarelli, a professional violin player) in the HBO show Treme, same vibe, same energy, Rhianon sings better though...

Anyway, Treme, if you haven't seen it, it comes highly recommended...

Sounds ace, Ron! The man's 80, credit where credit's due. He might have his daughter touring with him...

Snagged a front row seat at the Beacon for Jason Isbell tomorrow :D Hoping to sell my 2nd row seat that I have on Saturday, and go to a different show instead that night... we'll see how it goes.

Shaping up to be a good week:

Tonight: Sxip Shirey's amazing new piece "The Gauntlet"
Tomorrow: Jason Isbell
Friday: Album release show for "Somewhere Glimmer," Doug Wieselman/Jane Scarpantoni/Kenny Wollesen
Saturday: Either Jason Isbell again or, if I sell it, the Dead Combo w/Marc Ribot sitting in
Sunday matinee: The Lutoslawski Quartet with Mark Feldman & Sylvie Courvoisier
Sunday night: John Zorn, William Winant, and Chris Brown

Sounds like a plan

Been a long time since I've been so excited to see a concert announcement and bought immediate a ticket.
