Ah i love Bob,contrary as fuck but just really shy too i think, wearing sunglasses in doors getting a medal from the president??? :!:  he was also supposed to stand next to Obama and not in front of him i think,i love how Obama looks at him,he obviously gets a great kick out of Bob,he spoke very fondly of him after he met him last year(where Bob was being all Bob as usual of course).........he deserves every accolade he gets imo and certainly this one,his contribution to music and culture is truly immeasurable, some man for one man

I totally agree.

Loved seeing how Obama was peeking down at Bob with this grin playing around the corners of his mouth.

(Obama is such a handsome man. Sorry, I just had to say it.)

Yeah, I couldn't help but notice that, too.

At least Knocked Out Loaded has Brownsville Girl! And yes, Self Portrait is a nice album.

Well what is then? and the Christmas album doesn't count.

Probably Real Live or Dylan & the Dead. I rarely listen to those, but Knock Out Loaded has Brownsville, Maybe Someday, and a heartfelt Precious Memories.

As big as a Deadhead I am, Dylan and the Dead is awful. His vocals are brutal and lack of rehearsal.

I completley agree, but still don't think it's worse than knocked out

The way I see it, I would never play Dylan & The Dead for company, unless I was trying to torture them with flubbed lines, drunken pouts, and a thin sound. There were so many shows that they could have included, that were actually good, but they picked what seems to be the worst ones. And at only seven tracks, it's disappointing all around.

Knocked Out Loaded, despite the tacky production values, actually has some songs that could be mixed in with Classic Rock stations and work well. It's not his best work, but far from the bottomless pit that is Dylan & The Dead. I use the vinyl of that album as a drink tray when guests come over.

I think your a bit harsh on it, and I may just be a bit nastalgic about it, but come on a drink tray.
