from what I've heard by clicking Surf's link there, they could fall victim of birdflue for all I care...

Flo and Eddie, what's next...

Haha, don't let age come between us...;-)

i don't know Surf, they seem to have escaped from those schlagerfest shows they have on german national television..., it's funny in a sad kinda way...

Tha advantage of this age gap for you is Surf, that you have seen Zappa & The Mothers, and the Doors (even if it was without Jim Morrisson...)

That's more than I can say...

I have a gift for remembering useless trivia, I could win serious money on televised quizzes...

Problem is, you have to get on tv for that...

Have an old friend who can remember any 50s or 60s hits by association. First I thought he was kidding me but over the years he proved he was right 99% of the time.
Hello Mary Lou by Ricky Nelson?
I quote one of his letters I have digitalized:

"Well I remember my dad was just fired and we had a big rumble at the hockeyfield with Rudy (Bennett, later of Motions fame) and his teddyboys, lost 2 frontteeth, so it must have been 1961, probably august..."

I looked it up and the fucker was damn right!

The video is excellent! Nothing like early MOI. Dammit, again I find myself born two decades too late.

Female voice: Yes?
Male voice: Suzy Creamcheese?
Female voice: Yes?
Male voice: This is the voice of your conscience, baby... ah, I just want to check one thing out...hope you don't mind.
Female voice: What?
Male voice: Suzy Creamcheese, honey, what's got into you?

Not her, she is Janet Furguson, the groupie that played in 200 Motels
First I thought one of the Plaster Casters from Chicago
(ever met 'em Doomcan?)

I must 'fess up to Live at the Filmore East being one of my favorite Zappa albums. Heard it when I was 15, immediately clicked with the filthy humour and the rest is history.

BUT it is much more than schoolboy profanity. The singing by Flo and Eddie (and the whole band at the end of Happy Together) is incredible. Their singing in Little House I Used to Live In (a longer instrumental version is on Burnt Weeny Sandwich) is amazing. Amazingly incredible AND incredibly amazing.
