Great list, DT!

Mine is more of an all-time favourites list than a current favourites list.

Tom Waits
Pearl Jam
David Bowie
R.E.M.
Mark Lanegan
The Beatles
Bob Dylan
Morphine
Van Morrison
Paul Simon/Simon & Garfunkel

There's an all time top 100 album thing on Dutch radio going on at the moment
The top 5 was already mentioned on tv tonite with short clips, maybe Rune saw it too

5 Radiohead (forgot which album "OK" or something)
4 Coldplay (whatever)
3 Mumford & Sons (forgot)
2 Nirvana - Nevermind
1 Pearl Jam - Ten

Well, I like number one and two on that list. But come on, Coldplay? *shakes head*

I didn't see it, and looking at that list I am glad I missed it. I usually throw things at the telly when people mistake Coldplay for a band which actually makes interesting music. It's a muzak band. Don't deserve any of the praise they get.

I must say that's a bullshit list, though. Made by someone like me, stuck in the 90s. None of the 5 albums should be anywhere near top 5 in an all time top 5 list. Perhaps with the exception of Ten.

OK Computer & Nevermind aren't even the best albums of those bands (that dwould be The Bends & In Utero, which are both ***** material)...

I think that was a list made by someone who heard that Nirvana and Radiohead were quite good but never listened to them. Probably too busy defending Coldplay on the internet.

Not sure that I could choose between The Bends and OK Computer. Really like both.

Not counting the groups with a woman in it (in which case Arcade Fire at #9 would be the highest) it's Adele's 21 at #86. (Amy Winehouse at #99 would be the only other one).

Don't get me wrong, I think OK Computer is great as well. The Bends is just a little bit better imo.

I knew Adele would be the 1st one ... sad no?
But then again I never listened to her ...

Besides my 8 usual suspects today:

Black Keys
White Stripes
Tiger Lillies
The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band
Seasick Steve
Handsome Family
