Aha, no wonder he looked familiar.

They have a Stevie Ray Vaughan poster up the wall...

Bonus points I call that...

I see a Jimi t-shirt poking thru...

and Edie Sedgewick too...

and John Waters, of course... :notworthy:

I was trying to figure out who the basketball player is... He's wearing a Sixers jersey, but he definitely isn't Barkley...

My guess is Mookie Blaylock.

Their debut album is named after the number on his shirt. And their first band name was Mookie Blaylock.

I just have to post this - every time I am scrolling through the threads my mind/eyes read this thread's title as Rock Pornography

Back to the 90's...

San Diego based band The God Machine...

Image

They only made two albums, the last one "One last laugh in a place of dying" was released unfinished after their bass player died of a brain tumor...They made a huge impression on me in those days, still do actually and I was lucky enough to see them in concert just this once as the opening band of the Pukkelpop festival in 1993, 40 minutes I will never forget...

Robin Proper Sheppard, singer and guitar player of the band, picked up the musical path again with his band Sophia, playing quieter and sadder music...

Beck at Club Spaceland in Los Angeles, circa '95 I believe. I think this was when he showed up unannounced at a godheadSilo show. Photo taken by me.

Lucky you to have been there.
Funny coincidence, I was just thinking about Beck a few minutes ago-- which doesn't happen often. I like him, but he doesn't cross my mind on a regular basis.
Then I log on here and he's one of the first things I see.
