I got a coupon code with 50% off on Ian Siegal CDs. So I got three, even though I'm officially not buying music these days. Surely I need to make some exceptions.

I bought

Swagger (fantastic!)

The Skinny (also good, but not as good as Swagger at first listen)

Candy Store Kid (listening now for the first time)

Everything I buy these days is an exception to that rule.

I bought Dave Douglas' new album "Riverside" a few days ago. He was at the merch table and remembered that I was at their debut performance back in June and suggested that I would like it. How could I say no?

I only buy vinyl these days. Often comes with digital code.

Yeah, I prefer that too (I have no use for the digital code, though). Unfortunately vinyls are much more expensive, so it can be hard to decide what to do (since I don't have much money these days). In this case they only had CDs left (the Ian Siegal albums mentioned above), so I didn't have to make that choice.

Yes, even 2nd hand vinyl is getting more and more expensive.
The days I could go to the local 2nd hand store to rebuilt my vinyl collection are over.
Only bullshit left.
