Although Tom isn´t Bob Dylan: Jack White has another single coming out featuring a Tom Waits cover: "I won´t tell yet who did it, but we´re gonna release a single on Third Man Records and they did a version of BAD AS ME from his new record, so that was really exciting."

They (Third Man Records) said it will be out in March, so everyone will know soon enough.

That's fine I guess, but I found Tom Jones' cover quite annoying (not that I don't like Tom Jones, in fact I loved his cover of Burning Hell in the same album) and I can think of few artists that could do justice to such a "waitsian" song. I hope I'm wrong, anyway!

I think Jack White could do a cool version but it doesn't sound as though it's him doing it.

Tom Jones version was absolute trash, so was his cover of Tower of Song. It was like he was fighting to stay awake.

Rebekka Bakken´s version of BAD AS ME does just about everything a good cover song should do.
