Hello, I'm a huge Tom Waits fan and I'm really glad I found this place to discuss his music! This is my first post well :D

I am having a lot of trouble finding A Conversation with Tom Waits (Swordfishtrombones), 1983, and A Conversation with Tom Waits (Rain Dogs), 1985. They don't seem to be available anywhere, the only available interview promo is We're All Mad Here: A Conversation with Tom Waits. I suppose these Promo's are just so rare..

My question is would anyone be able to upload these promos somewhere? Is it also allowed to upload these interviews, I hope so..

I really want to hear these, when Tom explains the back story behind it's music, it's just amazing!

Thanks

I honest to God haven't a clue. If I was you I'd have a look in The TW Library, a lot of quotes, transcripts and random good stuff to read in there, might be there might be not.

Who knows???

Or go to ebay.

Welcome aboard anyway.

Glad to be aboard!

Yeah, I know there are the transcripts but I was hoping to get the audio for my collection :)

I checked ebay and there is absolutely nothing..I guess as since it was a Interview Promo, made back in 83/85 that they are extremely rare..

I would greatly appreciate if anyone could upload these conversations promos! :D

I had the Conversation with Tom Waits album, but sold it years ago when I got rid of all my vinyl.

It's not that fantastic. You might as well read the transcripts.

Hi,
I have just joined & was interested to read about the Promo LP.
I have a copy, somewhere in my loft, so does this forum have a section for selling or trading between members.

Cheers

Reg

I have "Tom Waits, The Classic Interviews". There are four interviews on it, The Real Gone, The In Depth Album Interview, The Mule Variations Interview and The Swordfish Interview.

I think it's something worth having in ones possession... and very much so!

There is hardly anything more fun to listen to than Tom telling a story how his dog likes to eat fireworks and some such...

Newbie here.

Can anyone verify if the Swordfishtrombones and Mule Variations interviews on 'The Classic Interviews' are indeed 'Mule Conversations' and, in swordfishes case, a rip from the original 12' promo vinyl? Im pretty sure the Mule interview is NOT 'Mule Conversations'.

Does anybody have copies of any of these interview promo albums? I managed to find the Bone Machine Operators Manual online but I would love to hear some of the other ones. (I also have The Classic Interviews I mentioned above) Thanks!
