Current ticket prices are frightening & depressing. I hope business picks up by the time Tom tours again. Check out this scan from the TW Library, my first TW concert.

The source is apparently Pierre de Beauport, Keith's main guitar technician.

I like!! Exciting that Tom is recording and exciting that he brings in Mr. Three-chords.
Keith couldn't do cubist funk if his life depended on it.

So this is the first time they do something together in 20 years?

It sure does.

It's been a while since I've looked forward to an album this much. I've missed the feeling.

So if this is true, is the whole album recorded in New York? Has Tom decided to leave the abandoned barns and go into an actual studio? Or has he found an abandoned skyscraper with super acoustics?

Or has he simply sent the tapes to Keith Richards in New York and told him to "play like a pirate on drugs"?

From Bone Machine, yes? Was it that long ago? Gah, I feel old.

It is great to have this to look forward to.

I do think CD this fall and tour late spring/summer 2012. I just don't think he'll tour in the winter.

I like that he does the rusty-sweaty beltjumba and I hope he keeps to it but I remember completely wilting on the sidewalk in the rugby scrum that was Tulsa in something like a Jillion & Half % humidity and it was, dear Dog, so HOT... I ended up sprawling out in the landscaping for a bit of shade. I grew up with it but I've lived in the mountains too long now. We don't have that. Still totally worth it. Always worth it.

It heartens me to think that I think I can always count on an Ohio stop since Stuart is a Buckeye. :)

Indeed! Bring it on!

More revenue for the state of Kansas. They'll be thrilled.

Edited: Grammar, grammar everywhere and no where and not a thought to think.

On the Rolling Stones forum someone suggested they might be recording at Dangerous Music Studios http://www.dangerousmusic.com/facil.html maybe that's a place Keith often records at.

Keith Richards is back?! Should be interesting. I heard that the album will be out next friday, and Tom will be playing several California shows in support. I'm thinking Auburn, Marysville, Oroville, Wheatland, Lincoln, Roseville, and Sacramento. Very excited
