It was an unforgettable weekend, I couldn't just let it go by unsaid

Although I should note that I am using a rare definition of the word unforgettable... because I was so underslept, overstimulated, and jet-lagged that I don't remember quite a lot of it

Have you HEARD the Vancouver Commodore boot? That audience was one step away from rioting

I'm sure we've gone over this before, but the audience I was complaining about in Amsterdam was when the people around me couldn't be bothered to watch the stage while he was singing or applaud between songs... they just sat there with their attention wandering like they were in school or something.

Ever since I started smoking pot, this was the first concert I wanted to see completely sober...I have not regretted not smoking before the concert, I didn't even drink...got high on the gig that evening...

Only in Seattle, near you right?

@Sarah, yea we talked about that before, was my 1st Waits gig, so couldnt compare

At the Rex (Orchestre Rang 8 place 37) during the encores right at the stage with Ranja & Mr T
and the Ratcellar (next to Pascal, Block B row R seat 50)
Godamn that sure rocked! :D

Don't worry, he's done a bunch of US shows since then, Although you kinda missed your best chance in 2004 since he was right in Seattle and Vancouver, close to you.

After you've been a TW fan for a while (unless you're lucky enough to live in a big European city with a nice theater) you'll realize that traveling a few hundred - or thousand - miles to a concert is just par for the course

In front of me are three out of the four tickets that I bought for two Waits concerts in 2004:

These are the seats:

19/11: Balcony Middle, row 6, chair 18

21/11: Stalles, row 5, chair 17

21/11: Stalles, row 5, chair 19

The fourth one will have been:

19/11: Balcony Middle, row 6, chair 16 or chair 20

Costs: 19/11: Euro 98 plus Euro 4 service costs, per ticket
Costs: 21/11: Euro 99, plus Euro 1 for the Carré restauration fund, per ticket

So, all in all, 21 November was by far the best deal ;-). I'll drink a beer on that this evening.

Ciao,

Harry
