07-03-2007: Tom Waits is slated for a compilation on a new NASA album (a collaboration between Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon). 'Spacious Thoughts' - Tom Waits and Kool Keith Tom Waits News Update 11-28-06: I have compiled a huge list of orphans reviews at the following link. HEREOther aspects are getting fleshed out and will be up soon (i.e. lyrics etc). If you missed the performance I made an ameture transcript of it at the link below Transcript Dont forget Tom Waits on Letterman Tongight!!! *SPOILER BELOW* ... .... ..... A report from olshep on the forums: "Tom (and Kate Winslet) appeared on the 4:30 - 5:30 taping (the earlier one). Tom was interviewed (very funny) and then played "Lie to Me" (they did a comedy bit without Tom between Tom's interview and his performance). I think it was Duke, Larry, and Casey in the band backing him (but cameras blocked my view of the performance). Band performance was top notch and Duke's solo was nice. Tom seemed to mix and match lyrics from different verses, but vocally he really sold it. It sounded different than on the album (slower, even more rockabilly vocal stylings) and I think different from what I remember of the Orphans tour version, though perhaps listening to a recording will prove me wrong on that front.
